I have followed Tarana Burke and the #metoo movement since it went viral 2 years ago. I LOVED her talk and feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to listen to her. She had so many pieces of her story that are so incredibly needed. I think hearing about the true meaning behind the movement & hearing her address to the university staff was amazing and I think as a student body and campus staff & board we can do so much to make our campus safe and empowering for students of every walk of life. I think there is a great opportunity for BGSU now as a result of Tarana's address to continually advocate for surivors and create a healing community. I think we need more speakers like Tarana on campus and could definitely expand so much from this. She truly is extraordinary and inspiring.

This was an amazing event to attend. It was a great opportunity to learn more about a huge movement across the world and about other issues in our culture. I loved this event!

It was an absolute honor to have Tarana Burke RIGHT HERE ON CAMPUS!! I mean come on, how amazing of an opportunity is that?? The #metoo movement is one of the central movements of our time and to be able to attend this presentation and hear a little more of the backstory minutes away from where I live off campus and for free?? I just could not pass it up and I am so glad I did not. As a white female student, I was very happy to see Tarana speak unapologetically. With BGSU being a PWI, it is incredibly important to have diverse speakers sharing their stories and their knowledge on our campus. So thank you to BG and all of the sponsors who made this event possible. I was TRULY impressed.

I signed up to attend the event as a student who needed to complete a paper on a school event. Once I was done with classes and went to the Student Union, I was confused on where to go. Once I found the different rooms for this event, there were just all people in suits and didn't look as if any of them were students. I was confused on where to go, who to talk to and so I left the event. I thought the event would be open to anyone on campus, but seemed as if it were just a business event.

I think the event was really great and something different. I was not aware of the cherry blossoms in BG and was very excited to learn about them and a different culture.
