Exhibit - The Monster, Transformed: The Many Faces of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein in the 20th Century

The Browne Popular Culture Library presents its new exhibit The Monster, Transformed: The Many Faces of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein in the 20th Century. Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley’s Frankenstein: or, The Modern Prometheus was first published in 1918, and in the 200 years since has become an important cultural touchstone. The Browne Popular Culture Library’s exhibit, on display until November 4, looks at many ways in which Shelley’s text and its famous monster were reinterpreted beginning in the 20th century. The display includes posters, books, toys, comics, and more based on the story of Dr. Frankenstein and his monster.

As an educator, accessibility begins in design of the content created versus something to fix or correct after. In this session you will learn about the types of accessibility tools for users, how to structure new and existing content for best practices in accessibility and a new tool for Canvas called Ally for assessing your content for the user. Respondus Webinar for LockDown Browser & Respondus Monitor

This webinar will be conducted by Respondus staff and is ideal for instructors new to either application, and for anyone who wants a refresher.This session will include an in-depth training on both LockDown Browser and Respondus Monitor. LockDown Browser is a custom browser that prevents digital cheating during an online exam. Respondus Monitor is a companion product for LockDown Browser that deters cheating when students take online exams in non- proctored environments.
