Extra Life

Offenhauer, Lobby

A 24-hour gaming marathon for gamers ... who like to play games ... while helping heal local kids. Extra Life unites thousands of gamers around the world to play games in support of their local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. Since its inception in 2008, Extra Life has raised over $50 million USD for sick and injured kids. Sign up today and dedicate a day of play for kids in your community! Our team is the McFalconHauer Heroes! A group made up of students and staff at Bowling Green State University who love gaming and want to raise as much money as possible to help children by doing what we love. The main makeup of this group comes from the residence halls Falcon Heights, McDonald Hall, and Offenhauer Towers on BGSU's campus. We plan on the event taking place a majority in Offenhauer Residence Hall right in the main lobby! HOW TO PARTICIPATE This event takes place from 7 p.m. to 7 p.m.,  March 6 - 7. To attend you just need to show your BG1 card, or be with someone who is a student of BGSU's campus. "What can I do there?" Tons of stuff! Any type of gaming counts, we'll have areas set up for console games, PC games, board games, and tabletop games (such as Dungeons & Dragons) all over the lobby. If you bring your own console/TV/games/board games/etc., we'll check with you on how you feel about others using it, if you want it reserved for your use only, that's perfectly okay! We're also going to have prizes set up for those who can stick through with us for as long as possible to that 24-hour mark. We want players to be there for as long as possible to enjoy the gaming bonanza, but you might get some extra goodies for doing so. Food and drinks will be provided throughout the 24-hour event to help keep you energized and awake!
