International Women’s Day (IWD) has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering commencing in 1911. The day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women and marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
Join the Center for Women and Gender Equity, International Programs & Partnerships, and the Graduate Women's Caucus for a panel discussion followed by a roundtable discussion that will serve to promote conversation and awareness about women’s issues around the world. Faculty, staff, students, and community members will conduct open dialogue about women’s issues in their native countries.
This open forum seeks to give voice to international women and students on the BGSU campus and in the community that are not always included in conversations about women’s issues. This is free and open to the public - food wil be provided.
