Apply to be on the 2023 BGSU Homecoming Court! BGSU Homecoming is right around the corner! This year, we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of BGSU Bands, a tradition that has been proud and true since its start.  The application for Homecoming Court is now live! Students must be graduating in fall 2023, spring 2024 or summer 2024 to be eligible. The deadline to submit an application is Sunday, Sept. 10, at 11:59 p.m. If you have any questions, please email engage@bgsu.edu. Join us for a day full of fun water activities, frozen treats, free refreshments and more as we gear up to beat the heat on one of the hottest days of the year! Grab your shades, and get excited because we've got a series of fun events planned to help you cool off this Thursday! Beat the Heat at the Kreischer Courts Join us for a fun event at the Kreischer Courts where we’ll have water slides, slip n’ slides and more to help you beat the heat! Cool down with a refreshing drink at a lemonade truck. Lemonade will be free for the first 300 students to attend and then available for purchase after.  Kona Ice truck at the Spirit Rock Stop by the BGSU Spirit Rock by Kreischer to grab a free snow cone from Kona's Frozen Ice Truck! Kona Ice truck at Kohl Hall Stop by Kohl Hall to grab a free snow cone from Kona's Frozen Ice Truck! Popsicles by the Letters Make your way over to the Union Oval to grab a free popsicle! (while supplies last) Free Open Skate at Slater Cool off at the Slater Family Ice Arena by participating in a free open skate! Admission and ice skate rentals are free to all BGSU students during this event. Take a dip in the SRC Pool! Counseling Center T-shirt Design Contest

Do you have questions about the BGP assessment process? BGP, a comprehensive general education program, provides a University-wide assessment of student learning at BGSU. This virtual session will review the BGP learning outcomes assessment process, demonstrate the steps for using Canvas to submit BGP assessment data, and discuss best practices and lessons learned from the general education assessment process.     In this workshop, you will learn how to:  Import learning outcomes, assessment, and rubric from the BGP Canvas course template into your BGP Canvas course   Submit BGP assessment data via Canvas  Identify general education assessment best practices    To register for this workshop, use the Fall 2023 CFE Workshop Registration Form.    Advance registration is required. Workshop Facilitator: PJ Mays, Assistant Dean of Institutional Effectiveness, Firelands   Faculty180 is the faculty activity reporting system that is used for Reappointment, Tenure and Promotion (RPT), as well as merit, accreditation, reporting and other processes. Faculty members are able to document their achievements in research, teaching, and service via the Faculty180 system. Faculty180  is easily accessible via your MyBGSU portal and can be used to create CVs, reports, and other documentation. Let's Talk is a free and confidential service available to BGSU students. Students can meet for a brief, informal, 15 minute consultation with BGSU Counseling Center staff that do not take the place of therapy. Let's Talk consultations are not appropriate for urgent concerns or mental health emergencies. During this consultation, BGSU clinicians will listen to your concerns, offer support, information and resources.
