BGSU Firelands Student Government's 'Gratitude Tree'

Fri, Nov 1, 2024 8am to 12am

BGSU Firelands, Falcon Square, North Building

A gratitude tree is a symbolic representation of gratitude to which people can physically attach their gratitude notes.  The tree serves as a beautiful example of how powerful gratitude can be.  Each gratitude note placed on the tree represents something that you are grateful for, such as a good memory, a kind gesture, an achievement, or someone you love. By adding leaves and apples to the tree, we can visually and tangibly acknowledge and celebrate the blessings in our lives.  The feeling we get when we all read notes of gratitude is incomparable! From November 1 through December 2, BGSU Firelands Student Government encourages you to stop in Falcon Square, North and select a leaf or apple, write down a time when you have felt gratitude, and decorate our campus tree using the tape provided. Unmasked: Neurodivergent Support Group

Fri, Nov 1, 2024 2pm to 3pm

Counseling Center, Group Room

Unmasked is a support group for neurodivergent students. Neurodivergent is a term used to describe anyone whose mind functions in ways that differ from societal standards of "normal." Some examples include Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and mental illnesses. Formal diagnosis is not required to participate. Those who are questioning a neurodivergent identity are welcome. This group aims to provide students with a place to share their struggles, give and receive support from others, and discuss their lived experiences without having to mask who they are. Each session will start with check-ins and introductions. Students can then ask for time to discuss a challenge they are experiencing or a topic they wish to explore with others. Please complete this form to register for the group.   _________________________________________________ Hosted by the BGSU Counseling Center The BGSU Counseling Center aspires to respect cultural, individual and role differences.
