Nov. 8 is national first-generation day! Come to the table in the union to learn about what it means to be a first-generation student. BGSU is proud to have so many first generations students here.  If you are a first-gen student come say hi at the table before heading to the first-gen celebration.

Join other peers in our peer-to-peer lead support where you can discuss life concerns, mental health and build connections with other peers!

On National First Generation Day, we want to celebrate and honor our amazing First-Gen Falcons! Come hang out at the Clock Tower Lounge to hang out with other first generation students and faculty/staff, get some free food, rep your first gen pride with a custom button, write thank-you cards, snap memories in our Polaroid frame, and more! This celebration is all about you—don’t miss out! 🧡 **first 100 people will recieve a free T-shirt! 

Unmasked is a support group for neurodivergent students. Neurodivergent is a term used to describe anyone whose mind functions in ways that differ from societal standards of "normal." Some examples include Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and mental illnesses. Formal diagnosis is not required to participate. Those who are questioning a neurodivergent identity are welcome. This group aims to provide students with a place to share their struggles, give and receive support from others, and discuss their lived experiences without having to mask who they are. Each session will start with check-ins and introductions. Students can then ask for time to discuss a challenge they are experiencing or a topic they wish to explore with others. Winter Wheat Writing Festival on Nov. 8 is a  festival featuring generative creative writing workshops, guest readings, a bookfair and an open mic. Featured for 2024: Guest reading by Jennifer Pullen and fantasy fiction craft talk Fiction reading by alum faculty member Joe Celizic Dungeons and Dragon's how-to and one-shots
