2DAA trip to Chicago

Leaving Friday April 12th @8am to go to Chicago as a group of 8 students with our faculty advisor, will be returning Sunday the 14th. During our trip we will be going to the Chicago institute of Art, the Modern and Contemporary , Feild Museum, Inuit Gallery, Annual navy pier expo, as well as many other artists run galleries. This trip is an annual occurrence for 2daa to allow students to get exposed to contemporary art and to study the master works available in the flourishing art life of Chicago.   The Latino/a/x Graduation Celebration is our annual recognition ceremony honoring Latino/a/s students who are graduating seniors (graduates in any of the three 2024 Commencement Ceremonies). The program provides a space for Latino/a/x graduates to celebrate their time at BGSU, recognize their accomplishments and honor the communities who have made their experience memorable.  Register at www.bgsu.edu/OMA2024grads to participate in one or more of these celebrations no later than April 5th, 2024. ***Students who anticipate graduating in any of the 2024 BGSU Commencements should participate in the April 2024 ceremonies (including August and December graduating students).

Planetarium Show: Larry: Cat in Space

This cartoon tells the story of an inquisitive cat Larry, who sneaks aboard a rocket and takes a trip to the Moon in search of his Human.  It is told through a “cats-eye-view” of the Moon and space travel.  This is one of our digitized classic planetarium shows.

Take Back the Night

On Sunday, April 14, 2024, Take Back the Night will be returning to Bowling Green State University in the Jerome Library’s Pallister Room from 5:00p-10:00p. Take Back the Night is an active demonstration, protest, and empowerment event for individuals who have experienced intimate partner violence, sexual violence, or stalking. In addition to local efforts, Take Back the Night is recognized annually across the country. Planetarium Show: All Systems Go!

April marks the 40th anniversary of the BGSU Planetarium. With this show, we revisit the first planetarium show ever presented at BGSU upon the opening of the Planetarium in 1984. “All Systems Go!” is a program telling the story of NASA from its inception to the development of the Space Shuttle, with emphasis on the Apollo manned missions to the Moon.
