The Future Meds: Exploring Health Careers program will run as a virtual academy, though virtual the program will be an intense week with guest speakers who are professionals in their field. The program will feature new activities and a participant favorite: the University of Toledo Medical College patient rotation activity.

The Ohio Business Week program is a grassroots volunteer effort of the state’s business community to share with the next generation of Ohio's leaders the concepts and practices to be successful in business. The foundation launched the first week-long program at Ashland University on July 9, 1989 attracting 97 students from 30 different Ohio counties. Since 1989, the foundation has impacted over 6,500 students through 51 camps on seven college campuses across the state.

During this four-day camp students will develop journalism and storytelling skills across multiple platforms. Such platforms include video, audio, print, digital and social media. Students will learn skills through hands-on activities in BGSU’s state-of-the-art facilities. Students will learn and enhance basic reporting skills as well as technical skills involving capturing and editing video, capturing and editing audio, creating social media content, audio broadcasting, video broadcasting, writing and storytelling. After a day of skills training, students will “learn by doing,” working in teams to create multimedia packages as well as having the opportunity to meet and learn from industry professionals.

Looking for some fun on ice? Get out of the heat and go ice skating! Bring your family and friends to the Slater Family Ice Arena for some frozen fun. Public Skate and Cheap Skate sessions are open to the public. Online registration required. Skate rental available for those in need.
