Marine Biology Summer Camp

Are you interested in how marine ecosystems work? Do you want to know more about marine animals? BGSU has one of the few marine biology and aquatic science programs in the Midwest where you can explore life at sea! This camp engages students in understanding marine ecology by working closely with the University’s extensive collection of saltwater specimens.   *For students entering 10th-12th grade and must be between the ages of 14-17 for the duration of the program.* Registration and more details can be found on the camps and program website. IGNITE STEM Summer Camp

The Ignite STEM Camp is a week long day camp at BGSU where students will engage in fun-filled experiences about teamwork, problem solving and the connections between science, technology, engineering and mathematics in the real world. Our lives are governed by cosmic cycles – from cycles of day and night, to cycles of the Moon and days of the week and motions of the Sun across the sky over the cycle of a year. Join friendly robots Tortoise and Hare as they explore these cycles of time along with longer geological time cycles and deep time. Join us on for this full dome video show about cycles of time.

Planetarium Show: STARS OF THE PHARAOHS

Ancient Egyptians knew the starry sky and its patterns and cycles. In STARS OF THE PHARAOHS learn how they brought this rich sky to Earth in their pyramids, temples and tombs that we can still see today. Travel back to ancient Egypt in this full dome video show. Stargazing will follow the show if skies are clear.
