The Summer 2024 Faculty Writing Retreat, facilitated by the Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) and University Libraries, is an intensive, three-day, in-person event designed to advance participants’ individual writing and research goals and projects. This retreat will provide BGSU full-time faculty (QRF and TTF) with an opportunity to connect with colleagues, accomplish writing and research goals, and receive resources and support from various departments across campus. During each day of the retreat, participants will have dedicated time to write and work individually on their own research and writing projects. The retreat will also include opportunities for goal setting and networking as well as workshops and consultations on research and writing-related topics. At the end of the retreat, participants will reflect on their accomplishments during the retreat and set a goal for their future writing and research productivity.
By participating in this retreat, you will be able to:
Identify specific and attainable writing and research goals
Advance your writing and research productivity
Connect with BGSU colleagues
Identify campus partners and resources that can support your research and writing
Reflect on your progress towards achieving your writing and research goals
Devise a plan to maintain your writing and research productivity for the upcoming academic year
