Before you cross the stage in December, take a few minutes to share your post-graduation plans and stop by the Kuhlin Career Hub (BTSU 225) to pick up your FREE BGSU alumni travel mug. Complete the BGSU graduation survey NOW! The Graduation Survey helps BGSU understand the next steps our December graduates are taking — whether you’ve accepted a job, are continuing your education, or are still exploring your options. The survey takes just 4 minutes to complete, and all responses are confidential. Once you’ve finished, take a screenshot of your confirmation screen and bring it to the Hub any time we’re open — Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. — to claim your mug. Three Minute Thesis (3MT)

Graduate students, want to share your research from this year? The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition is a great place to hone your presentation and research communication skills while sharing your knowledge in three minutes using a single static PowerPoint slide. You will want to use language that someone who is not in your field will still understand. Register for the 3MT Competition today! The deadline to register is Friday, Feb. 6 (entries received after that date will be considered if space is available). If selected, competitors need to submit their presentation slide by 5 p.m. on Feb. 13. Competition Details The BGSU competition will be held on Feb. 19, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. in the BTSU Theatre (Room 206) and will offer the following prizes: 1st Place: $500 2nd Place: $300 3rd Place: $200 The first-place winner will also be entered into the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools (MAGS) 3MT competition, held on March 27, 2026, in Kansas City, MO.   Celebrate Christmas with this full-dome video show for all ages.  First, you’ll take a tour of the winter sky.  Then, a mysterious alien spaceship appears.  Is Christmas about to be stolen?  Follow Santa’s hijacked sleigh from planet to planet and back to Earth again in this science fiction twist on a Christmas tale. $2 donation suggested for all planetarium shows. Public stargazing will follow evening shows, weather permitting.

  Celebrate Christmas with Dr. Dale Smith’s beloved Christmas show, which premiered in 1989.  Christmas is a season of lights, the lights we put up each year on the darkest days and the lights that sparkle in the sky above.  The most famous of these lights is the one called the star of the wise men.  The mystery of this star has fascinated people for centuries.  What was this star?  Was it a star or another natural light, or a miracle, or a legend?  SECRET OF THE STAR explores the many theories of the wise men’s star and looks back in time to the origin of many customs and traditions of the season. $2 donation suggested for all planetarium shows. Public stargazing will follow evening shows, weather permitting.
