Celebrate Ohio’s 250-year contribution to the American story in Made in Ohio, a cross-disciplinary exhibition highlighting the people, places and things that have shaped the Buckeye State and beyond. Through visual art and the written word, the exhibition explores Ohio’s artists, writers, inventors, landscapes, institutions and objects, showcasing the creativity, resilience and influence of a state with a unique place in American history.   This month, we’re embracing the courage it takes to let go of our fears. Halloween gives us a chance to face things that might normally scare us, but sometimes fear shows up as self-doubt, worry, or the fear of being ourselves. Let’s take a mindful moment to notice the fears we carry and gently consider what we’re ready to release.   Letting go of fear doesn’t mean we’ll never feel afraid. It means choosing not to let fear hold us back from being authentic, confident, and courageous. Reflect on what’s possible when you give yourself permission to be brave. What fear are you ready to let go of? What strength are you ready to embrace?   Write down your mindfulness moment, and we’ll display it in front of the Office of Campus Engagement and Student Life in GMH 135.   Mindfulness Prompts: “Courage for me looks like…” “I’m letting go of…” “A fear I’m releasing…” “I feel confident when…” “A strength I’m finally owning is…”  

Join the Center for Faculty Excellence and the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) for a virtual workshop on the process of Program Review at BGSU. Program Review, which is mandated by BGSU's Academic Charter and the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), entails active engagement and contribution of the faculty. During this workshop, you will learn about the phases and requirements of the program review process. Program review resources, tidbits, and examples will be shared. This workshop will also feature two hands-on activities on data analysis and reporting.  Why you should attend: Gain an understanding of the programn review timeline and associated action items Learn about components, guidelines, and templates for successfully completing your self-study, visit, and annual progress report Engage in simulated program review activities  Explore available OIE resources in support of your program review  To register for this event, use the Fall 2026 Campus Partner CFE Session Registration Form. Impressions of the Floating World showcases ukiyo-e Japanese woodblock prints from the permanent collection in conversation with student artworks and select contemporary pieces from regional lenders. The exhibition will explore the captivating style of these “artists of the floating world,” and will illustrate the profound influence they have had worldwide from the 18th century through today.    Many of the works in this exhibition will be on display for the first time at the Galleries. Student research into questions of provenance, connoisseurship, and materiality will provide a deeper understanding of the rich and nuanced lives of objects within the permanent collection. Highlighting historical detective work and scientific analysis, visitors will be invited to explore mysteries of the collection alongside our student researchers.

Head to the Oaks for fan favorite returning for dinner and a show! This interactive musical comedy experience will have you singing, shouting, dancing and laughing. The audience will control the direction of the show by writing their favorite songs on request slips that they bring to the pianos. Energetic and exciting entertainers then perform these songs, while encouraging audience participation. The fact that many of your favorite rock, r&b and rap songs can be performed on the piano will leave you amazed.  Cost to participate: No pre-sale tickets will be sold. Simply head to the Oaks for dinner, and the show is included with the price of your meal.
