Each session starts with a “High, Low, Buffalo” check-in, followed by casual video game play. Firelands Hygiene Supply Drive

  Support our campus community by donating essential hygiene items to the BGSU Firelands Pantry. We're collecting unopened, unexpired, standard-size, and travel-size hygiene products.  February 17 - March 6, 2026.   Suggested Donations: Body Care: bar soap, body wash, deodorant, lotion, personal wipes  Hair Care: shampoo, conditioner, hair brush Oral Care: toothpaste, toothbrush, dental floss, mouthwash Menstrual Products: pads, tampons, liners Shaving Products: disposable razors, shaving cream Paper Products: toilet paper, tissues   Drop-off location: Collection box in Falcon Square, North Building   Questions? Two-Minute Capstone (2MC) Competition

The 2MC competition challenges you to craft a two-minute video presentation describing your capstone experience, whether it was a project, internship or another approved learning opportunity. You’ll explain what you did, what you learned and how it shaped your goals or career path. This is your chance to highlight the story behind your work and inspire others in your field.  The competition is open to students in master’s or doctoral programs with non-research culminating experiences. After you register, you will receive a link for where to submit your video. Videos are due by Friday, April 3, 2026 at 5 p.m. Competition requirements Submission of a two-minute video Accepted formats: .avi, .mov, .mp4, .m4v   You’re not limited to slides or talking points; you can use any media that helps you tell your story. Add visuals, props, background sounds, animations or other creative elements to make your presentation unique. Learn more about the competition or register now!

Bring your lunch, relax and enjoy a welcoming space designed just for commuter and transfer students. Play board games, study or chat with classmates. It's your time, in your space! On-Campus Support  Our Commuter and Transfer Student Peer Mentor will be available to answer questions, offer resources and help you navigate campus life.  You'll leave each event with new friends and helpful tips to make your semester easier!

FREE Martial Arts Classes

Learn Taijutsu involving unarmed techniques for striking, kicking, blocking, grappling, and throwing, traditional weapon techniques, and methods of evasion and escape.   Who can attend? Open to BGSU students, faculty and staff  All ability levels are welcome Why you should attend Classes are conducted in a supportive environment through which participants can improve their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. How to attend Drop in to join this 6-7:30 p.m. class on Tuesdays between January 13 - April 28. (No class on March 3) Class is hosted in the Martial Arts Studio (#38) in the sub-basement at the Rec Center Advance registration is not required. Wear comfortable clothing.  About the instructor Instructed by BGSU Senior Chief Community and Well-Being Officer, Ben Batey.   Ben is a licensed instructor with over 20 years of experience in the art of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu and currently holds the rank of 6th degree black belt.
