A Regional Art Exhibition Inspired by Nature Wild Northwest Ohio brings together three artists whose work explores the ecosystems, wildlife and changing landscapes of Northwest Ohio. Through photography, mixed-media painting and printmaking, the exhibition highlights the beauty and fragility of the region’s natural world while asking viewers to consider their role in environmental stewardship. This exhibition is ideal for those interested in environmental art, conservation, climate awareness, native species and regional artists. Featured Artists Lee Fearnside, photographer Fearnside documents Northwest Ohio’s wildlife areas and landscapes shaped by human activity. Her photography examines how development, agriculture and everyday choices affect fragile ecosystems. Barbara WF Miner, mixed-media painter Drawing from daily walks in local fields and forests, Miner creates layered works built through stencil, pattern and color. Her paintings evoke complex biomes and explore the deep interconnection between humans and the environments they inhabit. Kathy McGhee, printmaker McGhee approaches nature through close observation. Using animals, landscapes and symbolic objects, her prints prompt reflection on how we perceive and internalize the natural world. Each spring, the senior Bachelor of Fine Arts students in the School of Art have the opportunity to exhibit their senior thesis works. These exemplary student works — ranging from metals, sculpture, ceramics, and painting to glass, digital art and graphic design — fill the Fine Arts Center Galleries for a two-week show. Gallery Hours: Wednesday through Saturday, 11a.m. - 4p.m.

  Practice professional networking and build confidence at this in-person Speed Networking Night. This fast-paced, interactive event connects BGSU Firelands students with local professionals and alumni through a series of brief, structured conversations designed to strengthen communication and networking skills.   Participants will practice introducing themselves, refining an elevator pitch, asking thoughtful questions, and talking about their skills and interests in a supportive, low-pressure environment. The event is ideal for students who are exploring career options, preparing for internships, or getting ready for the Firelands Job Fair on April 16.   This event is offered in person only.
