How do I ignite excitement about reading in my classroom?

Participants will reflect on their own reading identities and explore the core set of practices to promote reading (reader’s choice, access to books, modeling, etc.) and care for readers.

Hosted by the Curriculum Resource Center co-sponsored by the College of Education and Human Development's School of Teaching and Learning, and the School of Counseling and Special Education

The Lit & Learn program will teach you how to create a diverse literature collection in the classroom. By participating in the seminars and book clubs you will engage with the librarians and resources within the Curriculum Resource Center collection and at the end of the program be prepared to support students by being able to identify, evaluate, and select diverse literature for children.

Students who complete all aspects of the Lit & Learn program will receive funding to create their own classroom library.
