The BGSU Academic Enrichment Camps offer students in grades 3 through 8 two weeks of engaging and interactive learning from the comfort of their own home during Summer 2020. Students can select to enrich their learning mathematics, reading, or science learning. These courses are taught and designed by trained teachers who are experts in the content of mathematics, reading, and science. During the camps, the students work directly with their camp instructor and same age peers, enjoying a variety of activities to peak their interest in learning and deepen their knowledge.

What kinds of activities do campers get to do?

Students will participate in specially-designed tasks that encourage creative problem solving, building reasoning skills, explore team work, and critical thinking, all in a camp-like atmosphere.

When will camp meet?

Just as you have been connecting with your teachers and classmates remotely, the Academic Enrichment Camp will be similar. There will be days when you will work on at home projects, or labs like science experiments and days that you will log in and meet with your instructor and meet new classmates from across Ohio.

Can I sign up for more than one?

Yes. Campers may sign up for more than one subject and more than one session. Each camp course will be designed independently allowing campers to attend all offerings (i.e. Session 1: Science & Session 2: Science)

What does the cost cover?

The cost of camp is $75 per camper. This includes two weeks worth of instructional content, a choice of two items: bookbag, waterbottle or t-shirt  and all learning materials needed for the camp. These items will be sent to your home prior to camp.
