This project explores the interplay between sound and technology in a dynamic performance by the faculty and students of the College of Musical Arts and the School of Art. This hour-long show creates immersive "situations" that deconstruct instrumental physicality and performer actions through live and pre-recorded sounds, analog and digital processing, and electronic music. The result is an oscillation between certainty and uncertainty, connectivity and disconnection, where performers play with audience perceptions, creating dissonance and disorientation between what is seen and what is heard.

Our guest artists include Dr. Miles Jefferson Friday, a composer and Assistant Professor of Digital Music from the University of Texas, San Antonio, and Dr. Joo Won Park, a Professor of Music Technology at Wayne State University. The performance will also feature Dr. Elainie Lillios and Dr. Piyawat Louilarpprasert, professors of Music Composition at the College of Musical Arts, BGSU, alongside BGSU student artists.

This event is supported by the MidAmerican Center for Contemporary Music (MACCM) and the School of Art as part of the course MUCT 4100/5140: Contemporary Pro Seminar: Rethink Technologies in Performance, taught by Dr. Louilarpprasert.
