The CWGE's annual International Women’s Day event, with the addition of International Sex Workers’ Rights Day, will take place on March 11 from 3-7 p.m. in the Pallister Conference Room in Jerome Library.

This year's event is entitled, All Work and No Pay: The Devaluation of Care Work and Sex Work Art Show. This theme considers the breadth of care work done primarily by women, including parenting, sex work, and other forms of affective labor in relationships and professional lives. We will be putting on an art show featuring members of the BGSU community. Participants will reflect on their care labor and what it means to them – a job, a vector of gendered oppression, a passion, whatever that might be. We will also be showcasing academic research on this topic.
