In this session, you will apply principles of backward design to courses with fixed learning outcomes. Many courses with pre-determined goals can become stagnant or overly routine, especially if they are frequently taught semester after semester. Using the tools from the workshop, you’ll explore ways to refresh these courses and incorporate your own teaching style and perspective into their design.

Why you should attend:

  • Understand the structure of backward-designed courses compared to other models.
  • Expand and personalize how learning outcomes are assessed.
  • Create a lesson plan using backward design principles
