BGSU Firelands Scholarship Deadline Feb. 15

There are many foundation scholarships available just for BGSU Firelands students. Scholarship awards are based on a variety of criteria, including merit, demonstrated financial need, field of study, participation in a specific program, organization or activities, or any combination of these items. Awards range from $500 to full fees and do not have to be repaid. 

BGSU Firelands Foundation Scholarships require a student to be pursuing a program at the BGSU Firelands campus. Students are not eligible for BGSU Firelands Foundation scholarships while pursuing a program at BGSU Main Campus, or BGSU’s Distance Learning Program. Information about which scholarship programs are restricted to Main or Firelands campus is included in the Terms and Conditions document sent to University scholarship recipients, and online through SFA’s Searchable Scholarship Guide. 

To access the Searchable Scholarship Guide and BGSU Firelands Scholarship Application, visit bgsu.edu/scholarships. Click "Sign In" in the top right hand corner, and sign in with your BG username and password. You will want to fill out the General Scholarshp Application first, and then the Firelands Conditional Application.

To be considered for need-based aid, you must be an admitted student AND file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). When completing the FAFSA, be sure to list BGSU’s school code: 003018.

The application deadline for BGSU Firelands Searchable Scholarship Guide scholarships is February 15, 2019.

Bowling Green State University (BGSU) has built their website around the Standards of the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) 5 and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).  The website was built in compliance with the accessibility standards established by section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and detailed in section 1194.22 of the Code of Federal Regulations, “Web-based intranet and internet information and applications” (https://www.section508.gov/).
