Higher Education Administration PhD Candidate Loni Stouffer will present her research, "Navigating Feminist Work in the United States' Higher Education Landscape: Stories of Leaders of Women's and Gender Centers," which centers the stories that directors of campus-based Women's and Gender Centers (WGC) share about their experiences doing feminist work in the United States' current political climate and in states (Ohio, Nebraska, Tennessee, and Idaho) that have proposed legislation that directly challenges diversity, equity, and inclusion work in higher education. This thought-provoking session will explore how these directors navigate significant external pressures while continuing to provide vital support services that address campus inequities and advocate for marginalized students.
