To celebrate the profound and lasting influence that Latinos have on American history, values and culture, the Diamante (diamond in Spanish) Awards were founded in 1989 by IMAGE of Northwest Ohio, a local Latino advocacy group.

The diamante is one of the strongest stones, and our award recipients are pillars of strength in times of challenge and triumph. The diamante is a cut above the rest of the valuable stones, as are these individuals through their lifelong commitment and dedication.

Diamante recipients have a sparkle and brilliance that is captured in their day-to-day work and encounters with others whose lives they impact. We celebrate our 2018 Diamante recipients as they become members of this very special group of people.
