#cfeBeing able to support Black, Indigenous, and all People of Color (BIPOC) is of critical need at BGSU. Provost Whitehead has indicated that we continue to see striking disparities in retention rates and graduation rates between the majority white student body and BIPOC students. While many scholars agree that the history and continued influence of white supremacy in higher education contribute to these present-day disparities, many faculty are left wondering what can be done now to disrupt these patterns. Utilizing an equity self-audit tool to deeply explore curriculum and pedagogical decisions can assist faculty in engaging more intentionally in antiracist practices. This workshop will introduce one such tool; participants will be guided to begin the critical self-reflection process of their own teaching praxis.
