About the Presentation:

Brexit, the rise of populist parties and the influence of green politics are just a few of the developments we are seeing in Europe today. Professor Spoon will discuss these and other topics, which will provide an understanding of the changing landscape of European politics in 2019.

About the Speaker

Jae-Jae Spoon is a professor of political science and director of the European Studies Center at the University of Pittsburgh. She is co-editor of the Journal of Elections, Public Opinion and Parties (JEPOP) and Research & Politic s (R&P.) Her research focuses on comparative electoral behavior primarily in Europe.
