Fr. Sean Duggan, professor of piano at SUNY Fredonia, will give a lecture recital on Bach's Goldberg Variations in honor of Bach's 340th birthday. He obtained his BM at Loyola University in New Orleans, MFA at Carnegie Mellon University, and MATheo at Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans. He entered the Benedictine order in 1982 and was ordained a priest in 1988.

Fr. Sean is an expert of Bach playing; he has made a recording of Bach's complete solo keyboard works and has performed Bach's works on organ, harpsichord, and piano. In 1983, he won first prize in the Johann Sebastian Bach International Competition. In 1991, he again won first prize again in the Bach competition. In 2000, the 250th anniversary of Bach’s death, he performed Bach's complete works for keyboard eight times in a series of fifteen recitals.
