Learn Taijutsu involving unarmed techniques for striking, kicking, blocking, grappling, and throwing, traditional weapon techniques, and methods of evasion and escape.  

Who can attend?

  • Open to BGSU students, faculty and staff 
  • All ability levels are welcome

Why you should attend
Classes are conducted in a supportive environment through which participants can improve their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

How to attend

  • Drop in to join this 6-7:30 p.m. class on Tuesdays between January 13 - April 28. (No class on March 3)
  • Class is hosted in the Martial Arts Studio (#38) in the sub-basement at the Rec Center
  • Advance registration is not required.
  • Wear comfortable clothing. 

About the instructor
Instructed by BGSU Senior Chief Community and Well-Being Officer, Ben Batey.   Ben is a licensed instructor with over 20 years of experience in the art of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu and currently holds the rank of 6th degree black belt.
