From Backpack to Briefcase: Career Boot Camp

The Bowling Green State University Career Center invites you to attend our second annual career boot camp for all undergraduate and graduate students. This intensive and interactive boot camp will take place during Winter Session and provide participants with the resources and tools they need to jumpstart their careers and create their professional brand and image. The boot camp sessions will take place Tuesday, January 21 - Thursday January 23 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM daily and conclude with a three-course etiquette lunch on Thursday, January 23 from 12:00 - 2:00 PM. The boot camp session topics will include: • Writing a Strong Cover Letter • Designing a Professional Resume • Building a One-Minute Commercial • Preparing for Your Job Search • Developing Your Interview Skills • Adapting to Workplace Culture • Creating a Balanced Life All participants who complete the boot camp will receive: • Resume review • Padfolio • Professional LinkedIn headshot • Three-course etiquette lunch • Mock Interview • Certificate of completion All students must pre-register for the event and complete their Handshake profile prior to attending the boot camp. Upon registering, you will receive a phone call from the Career Center to schedule your resume review and mock interview. You also will receive a more detailed schedule with session breakdowns and room locations via email prior to the event. Questions? Bowling Green State University (BGSU) has built their website around the Standards of the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) 5 and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).  The website was built in compliance with the accessibility standards established by section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and detailed in section 1194.22 of the Code of Federal Regulations, “Web-based intranet and internet information and applications” (https://www.section508.gov/).
