This year the Graduate Student Senate will sponsor the 13th annual Charles E. Shanklin Colloquium named in memory of the late Charles E. Shanklin on April 5, 2023. The Charles E. Shanklin Colloquium will highlight the significant research and efforts of graduate students here at BGSU.

During the Awards Colloquium, Shanklin, GSS, and Graduate College award winners will be announced. Awards include the Shanklin Award for Research Excellence, Graduate Student of the Year, Outstanding Research Assistant 1, and more. This will be a time to celebrate all of the amazing work completed by graduate assistants. University administration, including President Rodney Rogers, Provost Joe Whitehead, and Dean Jennifer Waldron, will provide remarks, along with Graduate Student Senate leadership. Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be provided for the duration of the event.

All students (undergraduate and graduate), faculty, and staff are invited to this event. This is a great way to learn about a variety of research topics, as well as see all the work being done by graduate students.
