Green Game Day

Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 2:00pm

Doyt L. Perry Stadium
1610 Stadium Dr, Bowling Green, OH 43403

"Green Game Day" is the primary waste reduction initiative that currently takes place at every home football game.

The program involves setting up and managing recycling containers within the tailgating sections of the home football game and interacting with BGSU Falcon Football fans. We begin shifts starting three hours before kickoff time.

  • An average of 20 student volunteers staffed every game;
  • Recycling containers are set up throughout the stadium concourses, tailgate area, and sky boxes of the stadium;
  • Volunteers distribute green recycling bags to tailgaters via golf cart, and collect them throughout the game
  • Volunteers enjoy their own tailgate!
  • Earn service hours!
