Virtual EventOnline learning environments are in virtual settings and have no physical location. Instructors teach and students learn through the use of computers and the Internet employing such learning management system platforms as Moodle, Blackboard, and Canvas. A course taught in an online environment does not automatically assure accessibility, inclusiveness, and equitability. This workshop focuses on elements of inclusive pedagogy that promote inclusiveness and belonging in online learning environments. Participants will consider their own potential resistance to engaging with inclusive teaching strategies and how to overcome it, review short-term and long-term teaching strategies that will ensure inclusivity and equitability, identify two actionable tasks, and help shape and direct inclusive pedagogy at Bowling Green State University.
