The campus Multicultural Dialogue Series will be hosting a discussion led by Dr. R.G. Cravens on Monday, September 10.
This discussion will center on LGBTQ+ identities and violence, in connection to the story of Matthew Shepard. On Monday, September 17, the College of Musical Arts hosts choral ensemble Conspirare for a performance of Considering Matthew Shepard, a work that both celebrates his life and explores how we can transcend tragedy to discover our common humanity. The work addresses the life of Matthew Shepard, a young, gay college student who was kidnapped, brutally beaten, and left to die tied to a fence post in rural Wyoming 20 years ago.
Several engagement events are scheduled surrounding Conspirare's visit. For a complete listing, visit BGSU.edu/McMaster.
