Each year the Office of Multicultural Affairs hosts a number of identity-based celebrations of graduating students. The purpose of these events is to provide space for these graduates to celebrate their time at BGSU, recognize their accomplishments, and honor the communities who have made their experiences memorable around shared identity(ies).

These events do NOT take the place of Bowling Green State University Commencement, but rather offer additional celebration leading up to Commencement. These graduates will receive stole(s)/cords at the ceremonies in which they participate - we encourage them to wear them with their regalia for the official BGSU Commencement celebration.

Multicultural Graduation Celebration, April 5, 2023 – BTSU 427 2-6 pm (open house, pop-in event)

Black Graduation, April 15, 2023 – BTSU Ballroom 12:30 pm

Latino/a/x Graduation, April 16, 2023 – BTSU Multipurpose Room 1:30 pm

Lavender Graduation, April 17, 2023 – BTSU Multipurpose Room 5 pm

Register here to participate in one or more of these celebrations no later than April 7th, 2023. ***Students who anticipate graduating in any of the 2023 BGSU Commencements should participate in the April 2023 ceremonies (including August and December graduating students).
