Project IMPACT offers free professional development events for all education majors. Our goal is to provide future teachers with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed and make an impact while at BGSU and in their future classrooms. 

About the professional development session
Dr. Art Lewandowski will lead this professional development session on Navigating Controversial Topics in the Classroom. Educators will learn strategies to facilitate respectful, unbiased discussions while fostering critical thinking and open dialogue. The session will cover best practices for managing differing viewpoints, addressing student concerns, and responding to challenges from parents or the community. Participants will gain practical tools to confidently engage students in complex, thought-provoking conversations.
