At this event, two world-class artists will perform, educate, and work with the BGSU College of Musical Arts students, students from neighboring universities, prospective high school students, and the faculty of the College of Musical Arts. There will be two recitals given by the performing artists as well as a concert performed by the some members of the Tuba and Euphonium Falcon Club and guest artists. The opportunities for anyone who wishes to attend are vast. The event will start on Friday night with a recital from Dr. Matt Van Emmerik. To start Saturday, our own Professor of Tuba and Euphonium, David Saltzman, will run a fundamentals session open to any low brass musician who joins us that morning. After that, the day will proceed with two masterclasses from Dr. Emmerik and the world renowned tuba soloist, Oystein Baadsvik. Following those events, there will be a rehearsal for the guest performers and a concert performed by the guests and members of the Tuba and Euphonium Falcon Club. To end the event, Oystein Baadsvik, the only tuba player to make a living off solo work, will give a recital.
