Dr. Douglas Forsyth of the Department of History at BGSU will present on how teachers can use their own experiences with family history to inform their teaching. Touching on the implications of expanded access to genealogy research tools like Ancestry and FamilySearch, Dr. Forsyth will discuss how the personal experience of discovering difficult truths about ancestors can inform classroom practice.

 

This lecture will be presented on Friday, Nov. 17 in the Robert W. and Patricia A. Mauer Center 104 at 4 p.m.. 

 

This lecture is free and open to the public.
