Homecoming weekend's showing: UNVEILING THE INVISIBLE UNIVERSE
For thousands of years humans observed light from the night sky with their eyes.  In the beginning of the 17^th century the use of the telescope by Galileo revolutionized our knowledge of the Universe.  Then, in the 20^th century, rockets made it possible to go above the atmosphere and make observations of x-ray and gamma ray radiation.  Now observations can be made not only of light, but also of neutrinos, cosmic rays, and even gravitational waves – providing new windows into the universe and phenomenon such as the mergers of neutron stars and black holes.  This show presents images of the cosmos revealed by all these different messengers.
