Austrian author Verena Mermer, the 2019-20 Max Kade Writer in Residence at BGSU will read from her 2018 novel Autobus Ultima Speranza. 

The reading, hosted by BGSU's World Languages and Cultures, is free and open to the public.

Verena Mermer is a writer and an academic, currently living in  Vienna. She has published in a variety of literary magazines and was longlisted for the 2013 European Poetry Festival Prize and shortlisted for the Wartholz Prize for Literature. 

She will also present a reading on April 1.
