On Tuesday, Sept. 24, Dr. James Schirmer, chair of the department of English at University of Michigan, Flint and an alumnus of the rhetoric and writing Ph.D. program, will be on campus to discuss the meaningful, community-engaged writing assignments he created in the midst of the Flint water crisis. 

"Reading and Writing Amidst Crisis" is open to UWP and Department of English faculty, students, and staff.
