#Science CafeDr. James Metcalf’s presentation will explore harmful organisms and compounds found in water, both natural and human-made. The discussion will focus primarily on cyanobacteria and their toxins, including their potential short- and long-term adverse health effects. The presentation will also highlight emerging challenges facing freshwater systems such as Lake Erie as anthropogenic impacts continue to intensify.
Graduate student panelists will include Grant Hayden, Ashlynn Malloy, and Zachary Morris. The event will be held at Grounds For Thought and is free and open to the public, with snacks and refreshments provided.
