The first two weeks of the semester are crucial for setting students up for success in your course. The first aspect of the course students will likely interact with is your course syllabus. During this first workshop in the “Setting Your Course for Student Success” workshop series, you will explore strategies for warming up your tone and improving the clarity and transparency in your syllabus. You will use a syllabus checklist worksheet as a guide to analyze your syllabus. Based on the feedback of other session participants, you will draft a plan for updating at least one area of your syllabus.
