This workshop, being held for the past 8+ years, focuses on developing effective and cutting-edge pedagogical strategies for the benefit of the field of Sociology. The event will focus on effective strategies for student engagement via in-person hybrid and online courses, as well as presenting expected changes to pedagogy in the upcoming year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and how we as Sociologists can best develop plans for student success in the wake of these changes.
Dr. Melinda Messineo will be leading the workhop. Dr. Messineo is an accomplished scholar of Teaching within the field of Sociology, and co-led the American Sociological Association Task Force on Effective Pedagogy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We will be having this event ON CAMPUS and have requested the use of the $500 stimulus available to campus groups via the SOAB to offset the cost of speaking fees/honorarium for Dr. Messineo.
