Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer Exhibition

Saturday, February 9, Bowling Green’s own Scott Hamilton is bringing his Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer™ fundraising initiative to The Slater Family Ice Arena!  The fundraiser is part of his Scott Hamilton CARES Foundations initiative to raise funds for cancer research in targeted therapies that treat the cancer while sparing the patient harm. A portion of the local contribution of funds will also benefit Mercy Health.

Skaters and fans can join the Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer™ initiative by visiting www.mysk8.org and clicking on the Bowling Green location. Skate in honor or memory of someone you love that has battled cancer or for the millions of others facing the disease.

 

2/9 Event Details and Ticket information:

4:00-5:00pm      Skating Exhibition with Emcee Scott Hamilton, Special Guest Skater Alissa Czisny, and local skaters

5:30-6:30pm      Frozen 5k Public Skate – $10 door admission to the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundations, $3rental skates

7:00-8:30pm      Reception with keynote speaker Scott Hamilton, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and cash bar

Tickets can also be purchased in advance at the Stroh Center or the day of the event at the Slater Family Ice Arena.

Bowling Green State University (BGSU) has built their website around the Standards of the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) 5 and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).  The website was built in compliance with the accessibility standards established by section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and detailed in section 1194.22 of the Code of Federal Regulations, “Web-based intranet and internet information and applications” (https://www.section508.gov/).
