How has medical care changed in the long run? Disease, health and healing are major drivers of social attitudes and practices, and teaching standards in modern world history, economic literacy and contemporary issues focus on these topics.
Join us for a full day of invited speakers and discussion on recent advances in this exciting field as well as pedagogical applications for social studies educators.
Featuring Dr. Michele Clouse from Ohio University, historian of medicine, and faculty and staff of the BGSU Center for Archival Collections and the Department of History. The final program will be circulated in January.
Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of this workshop. The workshop will contain five contact hours and does not count toward university credit. Please refer to the professional development policies of your specific district or employer to identify how this offering will meet your goals.
