The Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship hosts the ninth annual Symposium on Diversity. This symposium offers undergraduate/graduate students and faculty, as well as administrative and classified staff, the opportunity to hear and see findings on critical issues related to diversity in the broadest sense within a wide variety of fields. Keynote speaker Amanda Paniagua will present a speech titled: Seeing Ourselves in Others: The Power of Collective Stories. Additional speakers include Dr. Janet Hartley, interim vice provost for academic affairs of Bowling Green State University, and Dr. Cordula Mora, director of the Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship.

No registration is necessary to attend this event. All are welcome to come and go throughout the day. Light refreshments will be served. 

Schedule: 

  • 9:30-9:35 a.m. - Welcoming remarks by Dr. Cordula Mora 

  • 9:35–9:45 a.m. - Opening Remarks by Dr. Janet Hartley 

  • 9:45-10:30 a.m. - Keynote Speaker by Amanda Paniagua 

  • 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Poster viewing and creative presentations
