Dr. Diane Rayor, a retired professor of Classics at Grand Valley State University, is the guest presenter for the 2021 BGSU World Languages and Cultures' "World of Translation: Speaker Series."
She will offer a translation workshop focusing on strategies for translating poetry and drama into English. The workshop, hosted on Zoom, will be from 1-2 p.m. Space is limited for the workshop; registration is required by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
She will also present "Reading Sappho: A New Translation of the Complete Works." The evening talk is from 7-8 p.m. on Zoom at bgsu.edu/worldoftranslation.
The event is hosted by the BGSU's World Languages and Cultures, with support from the College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Theatre and Film, School of Cultural and Critical Studies, Department of History, Department of English, Honors College, Asian Studies, School of Art, and International Studies.
