Get excited for Weeks of Welcome! Filled with events, activities and special guests, the BGSU Welcome Crew will kick off the festivities during move-in and won't stop until Fall Break! During this celebration, explore opportunities hosted by the campus community to create your ultimate BGSU experience.

Weeks of Welcome events are designed to help you connect and prepare for the fall semester.

New Students

  • Aug. 20-21 – REQUIRED PROGRAMMING – Before the first day of classes, there will be a series of required programming and optional events for residential and commuter students designed to help you feel comfortable with campus, connect with new friends and explore resources to support your needs.

All Students

  • Weeks of Welcome is for new and returning students! From Aug. 19 through Oct. 2. you are invited to come to campus and design your ultimate BGSU experience. You have the choice to participate in a series of optional events and programs that interest you and are designed to welcome everyone to campus!

HYPE is hosted and curated by Noah Sonie; a full-time performer based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Noah has years of experience performing and showcasing his unique perspective and high energy style on stages across America. During the show students will experience a blend of magic, mindreading, and hypnosis that will weave them through moments of laughter, awe, and pure confusion. Campus Fest

Be curious and find your people at one of the largest events during Weeks of Welcome. Campus Fest is where you discover ways to enhance your BGSU experience. An annual fair that features over 300+ student organizations, local merchants, community partners and University offices at display tables spanning the entire BTSU Quad. TIP: Give yourself a lot of time to explore. This event is perfect for getting familiar with the heart of campus.
