Celebrate the impact of student-led service at the Leadership Institute Project Showcase. More than 300 students in BGSU’s first-year leadership development program will present poster displays highlighting the community service projects they’ve created and implemented throughout the semester.
This drop-in event is open to all and offers a meaningful look at the issues students care about—and the real change they’re driving on campus and in the community.
Stop by to support their work, get inspired, and see leadership in action.

All available on-campus or off-campus service opportunities will be listed on the BGSU serves platform. We encourage students to register for an opportunity before the day of the service event.
How to register
1. Visit the browse the BGSU Serves web page
2. Browse the list of volunteer opportunities and find one that interests you
3. Select register to log in to your BGSU Serves account (or create one) to sign up for that volunteer opportunity.

8:30 a.m. at the BTSU Ballroom.
Be sure to check when your specific volunteer opportunity begins.
All service events are anticipated to wrap up by or before 2 p.m.
The annual Women of Distinction awards program is an exciting continuation of the tradition to honor, celebrate, and connect leaders who advocate for and support others on campus. The award recognizes outstanding role models and mentors who empower others and demonstrate commitment to BGSU’s mission and core values.
This is an invite-only event.
Finalists are chosen based on the following criteria:
Dedication to role modeling, mentoring, and empowerment
Commitment to the BGSU mission and core values
Contributions in their communities through their time, talent, and/or resources

TEDxBGSU is a local, independently organized TEDx event at Bowling Green State University that strives to re-create the unique experience found at TED. At its core, our aim is to foster “ideas worth spreading.”

Make Your Voice Heard: Vote on Election Day
Tuesday, November 4 is Election Day across the United States. All registered voters are encouraged to cast their ballots in local, state and federal elections.

Check your polling location ahead of time
Bring a valid form of ID if required in your state

Participating in elections is a cornerstone of civic engagement—don’t miss your chance to make an impact.
Join the C. Raymond Marvin Center for Student Leadership and Civic Engagement for a luncheon conversation with former Ohio Attorney General Betty Montgomery and former U.S. Representative for Ohio's 18th congressional district, Zack Space. Register by 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 15 to be a part of this Luncheon.
Opening remarks will begin at promptly 12:00 p.m., and a complimentary buffet is included, followed by a dialogue between Montgomery and Space, moderated by Stephanie Dodd of the Campus Community Coalition.
