Research Presentation: Sustainable Food Choices by Dr. Jonathan Kershaw

Dr. Jonathan Kershaw, Associate Professor and researcher with the BGSU Department of Public & Allied Health will be presenting his research on the intersection of sustainability and food choices. His talk is titled "Walking the Talk: How can our food choices match our sustainable aspirations?" We often have the intention to live sustainably, but does our behavior actually reflect that? Dr. Kershaw looks at the way we interact with food and informational strategies to promote healthier and more environmentally sustainable food choices. How can we discuss food and not have some? Free food will be provided courtesy of BGSU Catering. Gluten-avoiding option is Tandoori Chicken Kebab and a vegetarian option of Spanakopita.

  On April 20 and 21, a team from Academic Analytics will visit BGSU. The main purpose of their visit is to provide demonstrations and opportunities for informational interaction with BGSU faculty.    BGSU has adopted Faculty Insight to enable our faculty to locate each other, form research collaborations and networks both inside BGSU and among scholars at 470 Ph.D.-granting institutions in the U.S. and develop our externally funded research potential.   Faculty profiles are pre-populated in Faculty Insight with recent activity data sourced from Academic Analytics. This includes articles, books, grants, awards, conference proceedings and patents.
