The Lavender Graduate Celebration is our annual recognition ceremony honoring LGBTQIA+ students who are graduating seniors. The program provides a space for LGBTQIA+ identifying graduates to celebrate their time at BGSU and recognize members within their community who have made their experience memorable. We also honor the recipients of the LGBTQ+ Excellence Awards and celebrate the achievements of the past year.    Register at www.bgsu.edu/OMA2024grads to participate in one or more of these celebrations no later than April 5th, 2024. ***Students who anticipate graduating in any of the 2024 BGSU Commencements should participate in the April 2024 ceremonies (including August and December graduating students).  

Rainbow Threads is a FREE Gender Affirming Clothing Exchange event. Students recieve the full shopping experience and the opportunity to work with one of our stylist to put outfits together. Students are able to bring in their own clothes to swap but it is not required. Donations can be dropped off at Bowen-Thompson Student Union, room 401 from Febr. 16 until March 14.

Start your semester off organized and with pride! Join LGBTQ+ Programs from Noon-4 p.m. in the LGBTQ+ Resource Center to create your own bullet journal or decorate a dry-erase board while supplies last! All members of the LGBTQ+ Community are welcome! Questions? Email Krkelly@bgsu.edu 

Stressed about exams and the holidays? Delve into self-care and overall wellness by making your own self-care bag!! Join us at the Bowen-Thompson Student Union in room 228 on Tuesday, November 28th from 10am-3pm! We will also host a raffle for those who attend!   We will also be hosting a sensory friendly space in BTSU room 208 where you can decompress from the stress of the day!! Have questions?   Transgender Day of Remembrance is a day to honor those who have died due to transgender violence. LGBTQ+ Programs will be honoring those who have passed in a passive vigil display until Tuesday, November 21st in the Resource Centers. Falcons, come out! National coming out day is Wednesday, Oct.  11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Bowen-Thompson Union Oval.  Come celebrate Coming Out Day with the LGBTQ+ Programs staff in the Union Oval. We’ll have identity flags and other giveaways as we honor the power of LGBTQ+ visibility, while we also recognize being “out” is not yet possible or ideal for all people. We continue to work to foster an environment that lends itself to increased visibility and affirmation for all identities within the spectrum of gender and sexuality.
